Eddie went on to study at the Escuela De Arte Cinematográfico de Avellaneda (EDAC) to become a movie director. At the same time, he worked as an assistant director for educational short movies, documentaries, feature films and TV series. Working several years with movie director Lito Muravchik, Eddie became a production assistant, planning film, creating budgets and conducting actor castings. In 1989, with the economic crisis and the lack of opportunities in a depressed market, Eddie realized the potential business opportunities that Buenos Aires’ flourishing tourism market brought thanks to its inexpensive prices. Eddie started taking photos of the city, along with a particular touristic attraction that captivated people’s attention — Tango. This led Eddie to produce the first high-quality postcard in Buenos Aires. He even established a new business concept that several years later was followed by other entrepreneurs, opening a market full of opportunities. His photography allowed thousands of tourists to choose and buy souvenirs like postcards, calendars, and posters about Buenos Aires. Some of his photos also became iconic symbols that represented the city. His company MAGIART was eventually declared a touristic interest by the city of Buenos Aires. Eddie continued to do photography for dancers, fashion, architecture, advertising, and events, and he later established an advertising photo studio, producing product photography for prominent companies in Buenos Aires.
In 2002, with another crisis in his country, he decided to pursue the American Dream and move with his family to Washington, D.C. In D.C., his photography talent and experience were key in helping get his family established in their new home. His very first contacts were with well-known photographers through the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) assisting some of his now colleagues and working for newspapers and news agencies (EFE news) doing photojournalism in Washington. By covering political events at the White House and the United States Congress and documenting social problems for Latino newspapers, he realized there was a new horizon in the world of corporate events. Since then, Eddie has photographed hundreds of events nationwide. This activity became the driving force behind his company EAPHOTO where he harnesses his vast experience over the years to provide photography services for corporations and non-profit organizations.
This year, Eddie celebrates his 40-year anniversary of capturing and pursuing his passion for photography. Eddie is now focused on training new photographers who share his passion for photography and serving as the eyes of a client, helping ensure they get the images they need for marketing campaigns and materials. From making clients feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera to tapping into his vast experience to make sure clients have the most beneficial marketing materials, he is the perfect professional photographer and consultant to ensure businesses capture the photos they need to succeed.
