History of a broken photo
Back in 1994, I was working for the production of a a mini series. I was the still photographer doing the photos for the promotion of the series. For the aperture of the program we had several musicians playing in camera while the protagonists of the program danced a choreography. And I saw that photo, ready to be captured. Soon the photo become some sort of icon when I published in my collection of Buenos Aires postcards. But there was an accident. On those years, we used a spinning scanner to scan high quality images from negatives and slides. The bad luck was that in the process, the technician broke the slide. A horrible cut dividing the photo diagonal. Later that two pieces were re scanned and pit together. The photo continued being a big hit and an icon representing the image of tango in Buenos Aires.
